I'm an electronics technician, and maintain all the electronics on board the ships. We have satellite internet while at sea. We'll be getting underway in a few days and will be at sea for 2-4 weeks. The connection is probably too slow to log on, but I will attempt it anyway to see how it goes.
We've got a full crew (35-40 people) sharing a 512kb connection, so yeah.. Probably not going to happen. Worst case scenario I'll be gone for 8 weeks.
